Passionate about transforming spaces and bringing ideas to life, Sydney has always had the heart of both a designer and an entrepreneur.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Purdue University, along with a double minor in Construction Management and Building Information Modeling. With experience spanning both residential and commercial sectors, she brings a well-rounded, technically grounded, and creatively driven perspective to every project.
During the global pandemic, Sydney was living in Indianapolis with her husband when she took a leap of faith and pursued her long-held calling to create—founding Sydney Joy Studio. The studio began quite literally in a studio, where Sydney initially took on commercial design work rooted in her formal training. Over time, the practice evolved to include larger, highly customized projects for clients who value craftsmanship, detail, and thoughtful design. Today, Sydney Joy Studio is recognized for a body of high-end residential work, now rooted in Northeast Indiana.
Sydney, her husband, and their two little children reside in one of Fort Wayne's historic neighborhoods where they call a charming 1940s Colonial home.
When she’s not designing, Sydney loves traveling to new places with her husband and kids, spending time with her people, or curating vintage treasures through a little thrift therapy.
